Runaway @ Bali

Day 1. 26 May 2010, Wednesday.

If I am not mistaken the 9898 Bali trip was the trip we planed for almost 10 months ago. And finally the trip that we waited for long had arrived.

The Bali Island Map. The hotel we booked located at the city center-Kuta, of the island.

12/13 people left Changi Airport traveling by Air Asia to Denpasar Bali at 9.55am.

PS: Boarding time: 9.15am

We were still checking in luggage at 9.20am. Running to the Gate at 9.35am. and reached on the flight at 9.45am. This was rather cool and it had add some spice at the beginning of the trip. lol!

Anyway, let's see the faces on the plan! *exciting exciting*

After 2 hours+ flight we reached Bali! It was the first time I took Air Asia flight. The seats are too small and kinda packed. I felt nausea on the plan too. Anyway, it was a good try. Luckily it was hardly 2 hours flight.

When I stepped into the Denpasar International Airport, the first thing came to my mind was "why is it look so alike to the Chennai International Airport in India?" except for there were no many Indians. Besides, Denpasar airport is much more smaller than Chennai Airport.
Anyway, Welcome to Bali!

Tokah and our luggage...

Found the driver and we off for lunch. Was so hungry already...

These were the dishes we ordered for 4 person.

Sambal Petai (the serving was real small, hardly 2-3 spoon/ Sesame honey friend chicken
Guess how much with few bottles of soft drinks?
It cost us around RM100+.

After lunch, we happily headed to the first sightseeing place.
It was Garuda Wishnu Kencana Cultural Park.
RP. 50,000 per entry. (RM 18.50)
This the the most expensive entrance fee among all our sightseeing in Bali. LoL!
Anyway, there are many things you can try out in the cultural park like temporary tattoo, manicure, pedicure and portrait painting. All these are FOC. So, Ok lah.
It's worth it if you get to do all these.
I came to know it from Iris after 2 days from the visit! Otherwise I might be having one!

The statue of half man half bird Garuda.

The statue of Lord Vishnu. The Balinese spelled it as Wishnu,
the Hindu God who is the protector (part of the Hindu trinity Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver and Shiva the Destroyer).

Next, let us see the Balinese creature. I think it is some sot of like the Chinese Lion.
The pictures above are the capture of the creature and the Malaysian 河东狮,Ms. Iris. LOL!

Well, next we would like to perform some jumping style.
I wonder why we can found the spring bed in the cultural park? lol!
Anyway, except for Lord Wishnu's statue, it was this activity I like the most in this huge cultural park.

Performer A: Iris Tan
Nahh, not that high...But she seems like very enjoying it.
Closing eyes some more wor~

Performer B: It's me!
So scary! Was hard to balance!
Enjoying too! Mouth open widely!

Performer C: Wendy Lee
Wahhh...this was really jumping high wor~
Very enjoying! Eyes, mouth, hands and legs are opening!

Let us see the last performer. He said he can jump, we'll see how high he can.
