The Possible Mission

Yes, I've made it! Yes, every warrior of the 30 Hour Famine had made it!
for the
The 30 Hour Famine 2010
Segi College Subang, on the 21-22 August 2010.

The 30-Hour Famine is a global movement against hunger and poverty. Participants choose to go without food for 30 hours and get sponsored for giving it up.
The money raised is to used to help children and communities living in poverty.
26 Hours + 4 Hours = 30- Hour Famine
  • For 26hrs: in the college and fast. give up something they love, and learn about global issues, guided by Famine Kit and their respective Camp Leaders.
  • For 4hrs: all DIY Campers come together for an exciting Famine Countdown event where they will end the campaign by breaking fast together.

It was no an easy task to fast for 30 hours. It was not only just fast for fun. During the fasting we need to be prepared and reflect on our own that how lucky we are. We need not to worry about food everyday. All we have to do is just take out some money and get the food that we would like to have. Compare to the children who living in poverty and suffering from great hunger, we are much more luckier than them. Besides, they are not just starve for 30 hours, they maybe be starve for more than 30 hours, everyday.
As we have the ability to help, we lend our hand to the needy. Regardless their skin colour, language and which country they from.

Having fun during the DIY Camp in the campus.
